A Stone Mountain Christmas.

It has been a long time since Mom, Dad, and I went on a trip. We have family in Atlanta, so we decided to go see them. I took it upon myself to research the area, and found out that there is a Christmas thing that goes on at Stone Mountain which is about 10 miles from my Uncle Billy's house. I booked a room in the park for the three of us. Called my Mom and told her this was or trip. My family was a little upset that we didn't stay with them, but it was so nice to just be with Mom and Dad. We visited with them during the day and did our own thing at night. We left on Thursday afternoon stopped in Macon for the night then continued on. Saturday my Dad and I went shopping (you know I am spoiled) I ended up with an iPhone... I am soooo excited. We visited my Aunt Eva some of you remember her. She is now in a nursing home not doing so well. That night we went to Stone Mountain for the Christmas program. It was fun but there was way too many people. Sunday we packed up and headed home. We stopped in Hawkinsville, Ga to visit with more family. My Aunt Velma, and Uncle Edwin. They are not really my aunt and uncle, but way to old to call them my cousins lol. My Uncle Edwin is not doing well at all.. He is in a hospital bed in his home. Sometimes he knows who people are and sometimes he does not. He was having a good day, he remembered my Mom and Dad and knew I belonged to them. He sang for us Amazing Grace while we was there, it was hard holding back the tears on that one. He is in so much pain, but still giving God all the glorly in his situation. All in all it was a great trip. Good times with some of my favorite people. I love my parents dearly and I am thankful and blessed everyday to have them.

Sounds like a WONDERFUL Christmas trip. You'll all cherish those memories for a long time.

We had a wonderful trip, too. Spent two days & nights with all 11 of us in a cabin in the mountains. It was terrific.

Love you,
Aunt Jean
